Introducing Code.GreySparling.com

Over the past 4 years, we've posted lots of good tips and techniques on our blog, many of which include working code to solve specific issues in PeopleSoft. Over time, we've made enhancements to this code, but haven't had a good way of sharing these updates or letting others help improve this code that we've made public.

Therefore, we will be launching our PeopleSoft code collaboration site in the coming days, http://code.greysparling.com where you will be able to do the following:

  • Pull down projects with the working code for our blog posts.
  • Introspect these projects to see the code from a browser without having to install the project first.
  • View the revision history of changes to this code, including comments and differences across versions.
  • Enter tickets against the different projects.

We are also willing to include things that you've done and would like to provide to others to either review, access, or even enhance. Our good friend and customer, Mike Finch from Lane County has offered to be our first guest PeopleSoft Expert, making available the dynamic reporting/inquiry application he developed and presented last week at the 2009 Alliance conference.

Here are a few screenshots of what you will see...

We look forward to seeing you there!

Hi Larry, Chris,

Great to see this taking of so soon after the HEUG conference. Will certainly be taking a look and using it when able.
Great initiative!

When I click on the link for the code repository, I'm redirected to https://p5.secure.hostingprod.com/@code.greysparling.com/, where it tells me its coming soon. This post was in March, and it's now July -- is the repository up?

No, we still haven't sorted out some hosting issues - got busy with a few other things. We'll try to get it going soon though, we've got a ton of content for it.
