Grey Sparling was a sponsor of the recent MidAtlantic HEUG regional conference. It was an excellent event and we have decided to be a sponsor for the rest of the regional conferences this year.
Our friends at Coppin State University in Baltimore did an outstanding job organizing and hosting the event. Coppin State may be a relatively small school, but their IT department is second to none.
We received this note of thanks from the Univ. of Maryland Chancellor's office:
"We wanted to take a moment to thank all of our corporate exhibitors and sponsors for your terrific show of support at the June 10 MidAtlantic Regional conference, sponsored by the Higher Education User Group and the University System of Maryland. Your presence at this event added immeasurably to our ability to give the participants a full view of issues and opportunities as we implement, upgrade and maintain our PeopleSoft systems. The turnout of participants was impressive. We had close to 300 in attendance, ranging from back room staff to CIOs and Vice Presidents. Reactions to the conference have been overwhelmingly positive. Much of the credit for that goes to the exhibitors and corporate presenters who provided great content, ideas and potential solutions. Well done to you all…
And if I may, just a reminder. This was the very first HEUG sponsored regional conference. HEUG is embarking on a full series of US based regional conferences with a total of five conferences this year. After MidAtlantic, there will be four additional:
CARHEUG – Chicago Area Regional HEUG – August – Illinois
SEARHEUG – South East Area Regional HEUG – October – North Carolina
WHEPSUG - Upper Mid West Regional HEUG – October - Wisconsin
NERHEUG – North East Regional HEUG – October – New Jersey"
